Not every item offered to Jackson Estate Finds will be accepted for consignment.

Certain objects may require additional documentation, provenance, authentication or confirmation that they can legally be sold before we can accept them.

Send us photographs and any information you have about the item, including maker, history, dimensions, condition and provenance when available.

If it appears to be a good candidate, we'll inspect it and determine the research necessary to identify the item, understand the current resale market and establish an appropriate selling strategy.

Private consignment begins with a paid intake and research service, starting at $295.

This compensates us for the professional work required before an item ever reaches the market, including identification, comparable-sales research, valuation and determining the appropriate sales channel.

Items requiring extensive provenance, authentication, specialty research or additional work may require a higher upfront fee. Any additional cost is discussed before we proceed.

If we accept the item for consignment, we establish the asking price, pricing strategy, commission and any anticipated marketplace, payment, shipping, freight or other transaction expenses before offering it for sale.

There are no surprises about how the sale will be handled.

Jackson Estate Finds handles the public-facing sale.

We photograph and market the item, communicate with prospective buyers, evaluate offers, negotiate when appropriate and coordinate the transaction.

After the item sells and the transaction is completed, we provide an accounting of the sale and pay the consignor according to the terms of the consignment agreement.
